Elvin Siew Chun Wai – Seven Places to See in Udaipur

Udaipur is an amazing tourist destination with so many exciting places. The city is also mentioned as the Venice of the East. In this blog, I, Elvin Siew Chun Wai, will tell you about seven spectacular tourist places in the city.

Lake Pichola

The lake was constructed in 1362 AD by a tribesman. The four km long and three km wide lake is recognized as an iconic symbol in Udaipur that you cannot afford to miss. Several temples, palaces, and ghats have been built around the lake.

Udaipur City Palace

Located on the banks of Lake Pichola, Udaipur City Palace offers an excellent view of Rajasthan’s royal life. Its exquisite exterior and interior will mesmerize your senses. From detailed mirror-work to murals to antique furniture, every item displayed in the palace will be a royal experience for you. The evening light show will steal your senses.

The Iconic Lake Palace

Operated by the Taj Group, the Iconic Lake Palace offers exciting views of the Aravalli Hills. King Jagat Singh II built this amazing palace which is recognized as one of the most romantic locations in India. You can also enjoy boating from Rameshwar Ghat to the City Palace.

Jagmandir

Jagmandir also known as Lake Garden Palace was built in the 17th century. The palace has several divisions like Gul Mahal, the Garden courtyard, Bara patharon mahal, Kunwar pada mahal, and zenana mahal.

Jagdish Temple

Maharana Jagat Singh built Jagdish temple. The temple lies near the City Palace’s Badi Pol entry. The idols of lord Vishnu and Garuda will amaze you and the sunset aarti will be a wonderful experience here.

Maharana Pratap Memorial

Maharana Pratap Memorial has been made in the memory of one of the bravest Hindu Kings Maharana Pratap. I, Elvin Siew Chun Wai, believe you must visit this place because this memorial inspires you to not lose your courage in the toughest situations and fight with your full courage.

Fateh Sagar Lake

Fateh Sagar Lake is a great place to experience in Udaipur. The lake has been given this name on the name of Maharaja Fateh Singh. The lake looks amazing. It has some public parks and a solar observatory which are accessible only by boats. I, Elvin Siew Chun Wai, am confident you will love experiencing these abovementioned places. If you have more time to spend in the city and see more places, you can visit several other places like vintage car museum, Jiyan Sagar, Rajsamand lake, and Sajjangarh Palace.
